Lake Erie College of Medicine
Greensburg, PA
Status: Un-Built
Building Type: Educational
Area: 36,000 SF
Lake Erie College of Medicine (LECOM) is an institution that shares its campus with Seton Hill University and other educational facilities. On the Seton Hill Greensburg Campus, LECOM has aimed to establish a distinct building of its own.

The new facility is situated on a site that slopes significantly away from the secondary road. To accommodate this topography, the building is designed to step down the slope, with larger programmatic elements, such as the Lecture Hall, located on the lower level. This design choice effectively minimizes the building's height at the main entrance, ensuring a more harmonious integration with the landscape.

The building's exterior features organic materials, including clay shingles and stone masonry, which help blend the structure into the surrounding wooded environment. This choice of materials not only complements the natural setting but also enhances the building's aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability.
