Jordanoff Residence
Collier Township, PA
Status: Completed 2013
Building Type: Single Family
Area: 5,800 SF
Perched on a steep ravine site, this residence blends into the dense foliage with its simple material palette. It features a series of single-story pavilions extending from a two-story central volume. The primary volume showcases sealed cypress banding and a projecting shiplap cypress roof. Pavilions are set on light grey cement blocks, with floor-to-ceiling ultra-clear glazing and dark grey corrugated metal panels. The solid base integrates with the landscape, allowing grasses to reach the river rock perimeter.

Inside, a double-height central space includes a freestanding decorative steel stair and two-story glazing. Private areas are on one side, while the kitchen, family room, and public spaces open to the opposite side. Second-floor bedrooms are accessed via a floating catwalk beside floor-to-ceiling windows.

The residence includes a 1,000-square-foot commercial kitchen adjacent to the garage, designed to restaurant standards for seamless integration of family life and business within the 12-acre property.
