1709 Fifth Avenue is a multi-unit residential development in Uptown Pittsburgh, featuring modern design elements and making optimal use of the site.

 

The development encompasses approximately 54,000 square feet across six floors, including around 9,500 square feet of interior parking on the ground and second levels. All residential spaces are designed using base unit plans replicated throughout the building, with the exception of the inset sixth floor, which includes integral patio space.

The project is situated in the new UPR-B district and the Energy Innovation District. Site plan approval, based on the approved zoning and site layout, was required to proceed with building permits.

The unit mix and apartment count were developed to optimize distribution. Indovina Associates Architects was responsible for basic architectural services, including design and completion of the building. We also provided engineering and construction administration services, and handled conceptual site planning, parking, and access drive arrangements based on our design work to date.
